Do you have any idea about the power of digital Media? Lets we see...
Suppose, you are a start-up company, with a small capital that needs allocation among operations, for this at first you need to start branding right away or you wouldn't survive in this competitive world. Sounds scary, doesn’t it? This is what every IT venture in all the emerging markets across the world faces and needs responding to. But “Do not fear or think. Because size is not everything. If your idea is powerful and consumers love your product your brand will be successful”
Google South East and an emerging market expert. Utilising the blessings of digital media and being smart about it, even the smallest companies can create their own identity in the global arena. And trends in Bangladesh are in favour of IT entrepreneurs taking brand building initiatives despite the capacity or capital constraints. Search queries by Bangladeshis have gone increased 15 to 30 times in different sectors, They no longer look for categories, they look for specific brands or specific solutions. The brand awareness buildup is done on a national level. It is time to act on these opportunities. Digital media has several advantages over traditional media because it is less expensive and more targeted, scalable and supports long tail advertising. Tilak points out, Google depends more on a large number of small companies investing less than USD $50 a month in promotion rather than a few MNCs spending millions. He believes, in a changing market scenario where consumers research online and purchase offline (ROPO phenomena), Fortune 500 status or gigantic marketing budget does not account for competitive edge anymore.
Ensuring talking to the right consumers with the right messages, in other words the contextualization of brand promises needs creative thinking and strategic media mix decisions. Increasing dependence on peer review and usage of internet for decision making makes it extremely important for brands to engage in remarketing and response management. Usage of analytics and trend search provides a business, free of cost, not just the proper target group identification, but the situational need for response as well. Marketers can identify exactly where they are hurting and be quick to remedy the incident. These tools help with psycho-graphic targeting as well, where consumer response can be converted into immediate sales just by being smart about the query management. There are 10-15% new internet users, who just react very ardently to any innovative initiative in the digital world and Bangladesh consumer market fit right into this scenario.
This gives Bangladesh IT-preneurs enough scope to energise their brands through this new mantra: “Going digital and going wisely about it”. Focusing on the positives and utilising this opportunities while ruling out the size or infrastructure issues from mindset, Bangladeshi entreprenuers can start establishing their brand identity in the digital media from today, Now a days, we become more dependable on the power of Digital media.

Nokia Lumia 1020 investment? Right or wrong
We all know that Nokia is a very popular phone. It has many attractive models and multimedia phone. Nokia Lumia is one of them. Nokia has once again produced a camera phone that will be unmatched in the image quality department with the Nokia Lumia 1020. It offers a mix of the PureView technologies found on the PureView 808 and Lumia 920, something tech enthusiasts have been waiting for since the launch of the PureView 808.
Evolution of Pure View
The Nokia Lumia 920 with PureView Phase 2 technology and offered unparalleled low-light imaging quality with an Optical Image Sensor (OIS). What the OIS did was basically move the lens in accordance with how much light it needed in it. The results not only produced images that were well lit and visible under poor light but also had blur-free, sharp images, even if it was a moving object. However, because of a regular sized image sensor, pictures outdoors never could match up with the PureView 808. So this eventually brought about questions of when a true successor of the PureView 808 would come and with the 1020 Nokia has finally answered the call. The image sensor is actually smaller than that of the 808 PureView although there is a bump on the back of the device where the camera resides. It’s 1/1.5″ instead of 1/1.2″ and this means it has somewhat smaller pixels – 1.12 microns instead of 1.4 microns. However, the new sensor has a Back-Side-Illuminated (BSI) design, which improves light sensitivity. There’s also a new 6-element ZEISS lens which has a wider aperture than the old one (F/2.2 instead of F/2.4) so it lets more light in. Add in the OIS and there will be no doubt that the images are going to be beating dedicated point-and-shoot cameras and even reaching SLR levels. With all this technology added in a body that is thinner (10.4 mm vs. 10.7 mm) and lighter (158 g vs. 185 g) than the 920 is a remarkable achievement from the Finnish manufacturer. Price of Pure View Windows Phone is still miles behind Android and iOS in terms of user adoption and is still finding its feet as an individual OS. It has its upsides and perks but some key apps are missing and 1080p screens and quad-core processors are still not supported. The Lumia 1020 has a 300 USD price strapped for AT&T subscribers on a 2 year contract, whereas other mobile phone top dogs, the iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 are priced at 200 USD. It’s understandable that this ground-breaking PureView technology is not going to come cheap and the international price of the unlocked phone, especially here in Bangladesh, is still unknown. But aggressive pricing is something that Nokia is known for with the Lumia brand but even the pre-order prices are over the 700 USD mark, making it much more expensive than the Lumia 920. Yes, the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S4 are around the Taka 60,000 mark, making it more expensive than the 735 USD pre-order price. But at the same time, aside for the 2 GB of RAM (which is a first for a Windows Phone handset), keep in mind the internals are still the same as that of the Lumia 920, with a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor and a 720p HD 4.5 inch screen (Windows Phone 8′s limitation is to blame here). Although Windows Phone 8 runs perfectly without and lag or stutters with the given hardware this makes it theoretically inferior to the S4 in terms of processing power, screen size and resolution. The iPhone 5 is a different case as it has a cult following and its experience and app ecosystem are its main selling points. Therein lies the issue for Nokia – once a prominent name, in the high-end mobile phone game, it has lost a lot of its brand value and is playing catch up. Recent numbers from adduplex show that the Lumia 520, one of the cheapest Windows Phone 8 handsets is also the most sold Windows Phone handset. Conclusion we can say that- Sony and Motorola are both expected to soon release smartphones with excellent camera’s but are not expected to be better than the Lumia 1020. Nokia has produced a fantastic smartphone and the best camera phone to date that is ultimately bogged down by its OS. Pricing, availability and release date are all going to be key. Nokia has announced that the Lumia 1020 should be available worldwide by the end of September so that is still a couple of months away. Mircrosoft are to announce the next edition of Windows Phone this fall which would be introducing phones with 1080p screens and quad-core processors among its important features. With the Finns making all the right noises with the Lumia line – the Lumia’s account for over 85% of all Windows Phone 8 devices sold worldwide according to adduplex – they can ill afford to back themselves into a corner with the price of the Lumia 1020. The mobile phone imaging is a frontier that is going to be the next battleground for manufacturers after app ecosystems and hardware (chipsets) but it has not yet been proven to be the soul driving the sales of a smartphone. Thus, the Nokia Lumia 1020 can be a niche product only aimed at photography enthusiasts or it can be a smartphone everyone wants to and can afford to have because of its camera capabilities. The onus is upon Nokia to decide what they want the Lumia 1020 to be and price it accordingly. Please share this...

Microsoft has revealed full details about the comprehensive update to Windows 8, now known as Windows 8.1 and formerly known as Windows Blue. We've also had plenty of time with the new update, so check out our brand new Hands on: Windows 8.1 review.
There's also a Windows 8.1 RT version, too.
Windows 8.1 was launched at the Microsoft Build developer conference in San Francisco and when available the final version will be available as a free downloadable Windows 8 update.
In the meantime, Microsoft has released a preview version of the new version of Windows 8 - the Windows 8.1 Release Preview is now available to download. The final Windows 8.1 release date is likely to be September or October, as the OS will be released to manufacturers to install on new PCs in August.
Microsoft recently creates Windows 8’s new Start screen and its ecosystem of apps as the heart of Windows 8. Changing Windows 8 so drastically would have alienated millions of Windows users worldwide, however. So, the traditional Windows desktop lives on in Windows 8’s Release Preview. And, in keeping with Windows 8’s new app-based approach, the desktop is simply another app.

Xobni, Yahoo acquires email management app,
Yahoo is a leading company. It is famous for its better e-mail service. For more more development, its need email and address book management app Xobni, the internet company’s third acquisition in as many days as it seeks to revamp its online products and boost its Web traffic.
Yahoo said it will integrate Xobni’s technology into its communications products, including the mobile and PC versions of its email and instant messaging services. Yahoo did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, which the technology blog AllThingsD pegged at $30 million to $40 million. Yahoo said that 31 Xobni employees will be joining Yahoo, including Chief Executive Officer Jeff Bonforte, who previously worked at Yahoo. The deal is the latest in a string of acquisitions by Yahoo since Marissa Mayer became chief executive a year ago, vowing to boost traffic to Yahoo’s online services and to revive the company’s stagnant revenue growth. Yahoo, which has roughly 11,000 employees, has acquired more than a dozen small, Web startups during the past year, focusing particularly on adding technology and services designed for smartphones and tablets. Apple-Samsung phone battle , court in August
Battol
Apple has signed a deal with a new chip manufacturer which could see its troubled relationship with Samsung finally brought to an end. Cupertino has reportedly inked an agreement with the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) which will eventually see it take over full production of mobile processors for all iOS gizmos. This information has published by court.
Currently, Apple is stuck in an unhappy marriage with Samsung, which is still the fruity firm's main chip supplier. The pair have been at each other's throats since 2011, fighting an interminable series of patent infringement legal battles in courts around the world. The tit-for-tat lawsuits hinged upon squabbles over key parts of the firms' smartphone software and hardware.
Recently A court's decision not to prevent multiple Samsung handsets from being sold in the U.S. despite their being found to infringe Apple patents will go before an appeal's court in early August. The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C., said Monday it will hear 15 minutes of oral arguments in the case from Samsung and Apple attorneys on August 9.
The hearing comes almost a year after a jury at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in San Jose rejected arguments from Samsung and found that the company willfully set out to copy elements of Apple's iPhone when designing hardware and software for 26 of its phones and tablets.
The case, which saw Apple awarded more than $1 billion in damages, captivated the technology industry, and the appeals process is expected to be equally closely watched.
Following the case, Judge Lucy Koh considered the issue of a sales ban on the infringing Samsung products and in December ruled a ban wasn't warranted."To the limited extent that Apple has been able to show that any of its harms were caused by Samsung's illegal conduct (in this case, only trade dress dilution), Apple has not established that the equities support an injunction," she wrote in late December. Apple quickly appealed the decision and that's what's set to be heard in Washington in August. Whatever the decision, the effect on the market is expected to be limited as many of the phones are older and no longer being sold.
Since the December decision, Apple has also seen the amount of damages awarded to it reduced. Judge Koh struck about $450 million off of Apple's award, saying the jury had used a flawed method to come up with the award. She also ordered a partial retrial to determine the correct damages.
TAIPEI: Apple has struck a deal with the world's biggest contract microchip maker in what analysts see as an attempt to reduce its reliance on arch-rival Samsung, a report said. The US tech giant forged the agreement with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC) earlier this month, according to the Wall Street Journal, which cited unidentified TSMC executives. It said manufacturing of the chips, to be used in Apple mobile devices, would start early next year.
The Journal said the move is the latest in a series of efforts by Apple to lessen its reliance on parts produced by South Korea's Samsung. But despite the deal with TSMC, Samsung will remain Apple's main supplier of high-resolution screens, memory chips and processors used in mobile devices through next year, the Journal said.
Apple and TSMC have reportedly been in discussions since 2010, but haven't been able to sign on the dotted line because TSMC reportedly refused requests by Apple to invest in the firm, or to dedicate a facility to producing Apple components. Cupertino-watchers claim that Apple has been trying to arrange a divorce from Samsung for some time. However, like all break-ups, nothing's happening straight away and it looks as if Samsung will be making Apple's chips for at least a year to come.
Credit Suisse analyst Randy Abrams claimed Apple would account for about 8 per cent of TSMC's total revenue. Cupertino would be an "important new leading-edge" customer, he said. This could rise to 15 percent in 2015, Abrams continued.
So what of the spurned partner Samsung? Well, aside from continuing a patent-infringement battle against its former ally, the South Korean firm will probably begin bashing out chips for other companies, while still giving Apple DRAM and NAND chips for its iOS devices – at least in the short term.
Its margins are thought to be lower on processor chips than on memory chips. This margin will be even tighter when Apple stops buying processors, meaning Samsung will be on the look out for new customers.
TSMC is the world's largest manufacturer of chips, if taken by revenue, and is based in Taiwan, which is prone to earthquakes and theoretically vulnerable to a physical Chinese attack, as Beijing still counts Taiwan as a rogue breakaway state. However, it already operates plants in Singapore and Shanghai, as well as Washington state.
